ICTPA BRIEF HISTORY
First established in the USA as the North American Transportation Professionals Association in 1987, the International Chinese Transportation Professionals Association (ICTPA) is a nonprofit organization.
ICTPA’s mission is to promote the professional development of members by fostering fellowship and cooperation among its members and by maintaining a central point of reference and deliberation.
In an effort to promote local activities, ICTPA has established seven chapters around the United States and Asia Pacific areas, including Southern California Chapter (SCC), Northern California Chapter (NCC), Washington, DC Chapter, Northeastern United States Chapters and Texas Chapter and Hong Kong chapter.
Each chapter has its own president and board of directors, regular meetings and activities.
ICTPA’s annual conference has been recognized as the leading platform for information exchange, networking opportunities and business development. It also promotes local members’ communications and activities, with the host cities chosen alternately from North America and Asia. In the past years, ICTPA has hosted conferences in Washington DC, Kansas City, New York, San Francisco, Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Los Angeles, Beijing, Nanjing, New Jersey, Tainan, Chongqing and Tampa and Hsinchu, etc. In 2017, we’ve celebrated our 30th annual conference in Houston, Texas, USA.
